Two brothers, Alejandro & Alfredo, took us out to eat barbacoa de borrego after mass on Sunday. Barbacoa de borrego, or mutton barbeque, is a traditional Sunday breakfast/lunch in Nochixtlan, and in much of Mexico. It is prepared Saturday night over a bed of hot coals and between layers of Agave leaves, covered with dirt, and let to slow cook overnight.
