One way that you can contribute to this project is to pray for it. Prayer is talking to God, and we’d appreciate your prayers on our behalf throughout the many stages of this endeavor. Here is a partial list (which we will try to keep updated!):
May 24, 2008
- that our goals, ideas, and even our planning (really, everything about this deal) would give honor to God and build up Jesus’ family, the church
- for wisdom in route and group planning
- for all the people who will be involved and the churches and communities we will visit
- for those planning the MWC assembly and Global Youth Summit
- and (of course) for our parents, as they anticipate this journey
All Praise be to God!

Jon and Fellowbiker, Lars - You come to mind nearly every morning I wake up. I turn thoughts to prayers for your safety today, for the winds of God’s Spirit to move toward, in and through you so that your goals can be accomplished.

Jon and Lars,
Awesome photography and captions on your Ecuador/Perú photos. Sweet that you made it to the Casa del Ciclista. Some day….. The map resource left by Juan and Lucio regarding distances and altitudes was way cool. Nothing like hard data from another ciclista for reliability. I especially liked their wind graphic done in ink. That and their road conditions formed an impression in this cyclist’s mind! How I’d like to be with you as you enter Abancay. I’ve only been there in literature. José Maria Arguedas-Rios Profundos. I’d've also suspected some 5000M+ elevations as you approach La Paz. I believe I’ve mentioned Copacabana, the beauty and the excellent fresh fish in that small city. It is the most picturesque place I’ve visited. Pejerey, trucha and deep fried ispi Yum!
Two more countries to go. Courage!
