We're on a pilgrimage of sorts, biking from Virginia, USA to Asunción, Paraguay for Mennonite World Conference in July 2009. As we journey, we hope to learn from and serve those we meet and to begin living in a community relevant to Christ's call.
We’ll be watching, listening and discerning with you as we also prepare to lead a group to the Global Youth Summit and Mennonite World Conference Assembly in Asuncion, Paraguay. Blessings, challenges and opportunities enough along your way.
Jonathan,
It was great to connect with you briefly at the family gathering. We will follow your travels with interest. And I have emailed my missionary friends in Nicaragua, Steve and Colleen Forry, to let them know of your plans. They can check into your route, as they are able, and perhaps connect with you somehow.
We wish you Godspeed, and a strong breeze at your backs.
We are friends with Tim and Ann Brenneman. We are living in Canada and have relatives living in Asuncion who we plan to contact and inform them of your travels there. Will be praying for you.
I am a friend of your parents from Peace Corps days. I will keep you in my prayers for safe travels and what a wonderful rewarding experience you will have. Lynn Bain
Hey Lars and Jon,
I just got done having a conversation with a certain Jenny Hochstetler and the topic of you guys came up. I visited your blog and was blown away by the story of the generous church members in Union, SC. I hope the blessings you receive continue to outweigh the pains.
Having ridden across America in the summer of 2000 and currently serving as a youth pastor at a Mennonite church in eastern PA, I am excited for you two and vicariously share in your journey. Blessings and health to you - know that you challenge and bless many with your writings on the journey.
Hey Guys! Your experiences sound just great and our family is looking forward to have you at our home in Filadelfia before the Global Youth Summit begins! God bless you!
Awesome plan guys! I’m sure God will teach you many things on your way…open up to his leading…and hold on for the ride!
